1943 envelope to Simla bearing 1½a Indian stamp cancelled Falam, 19 APR. The envelope slightly reduced at top (which has a small tear) and with damaged backflap. PASSED CENSOR 27 in violet. Boxed Simla arrival of 5 MAY on reverse In early 1943 Burmese stamps were replace by Indian stamps, reflecting the absorption of the Chin Hills into the Indian postal service. The backflap records the sender as H.N.C. Stevenson, Acting District Commissioner at the time
