Amy Johnson. 1930 Cover to Victoria endorsed "Per kind favour Miss Amy Johnson", apparently hand carried on her solo flight from England (or possibly from Darwin?), posted upon arrival at Brisbane (May 28) franked 1d. Amy Johnson completed the first solo England to Australia flight in 19 days, landing at Darwin on May 24th; four days later she flew her plane "Jason" to Brisbane, but crashed into a fence upon landing. A few minor stains, otherwise fine and a rare cover from this famous flight, just a few covers carried unofficially from England. Photo on Page 24.
