PAIR OF LARGE JAPANESE LACQUERED INLAID PANELS. Meiji period, a pair of Japanese lacquered panels inlaid in bone, mother of pearl and abalone shell, with depictions of birds including an eagle and geese and foliage in relief. Both signed within a seal mark, panels 91cms by 48cms. (2). *CR Panel with eagle, generally good - small section of a branch missing towards the base, some wear to the edges of the panel in places.
Panel with geese, generally good - flowers near the top have some bits missing, part of leaf missing under the lower bird, a few marks and scratches to the surface, some wear around the edges of the panel.
