(defects) 'via London' to H.M.S.Empress of India, Mediterranean Squadron endorsed 'on active service/no stamps available' with double-oval "LOKOJA/POST OFFICE" d.s., Burutu cds and local seriffed "T" h.s. on front. Large part London "1d/F.B." h.s. on front where 1d postage due used. Early example possibly before stamps were available sent just four days after the territories were acquired by Great Britain and possibly from another member of the Corps serving with the 2nd Battalion West Indies Regiment.
