early 20th century, with watered silk lining and pen fitments, retaining notepad, the pages of which bear numerous ink marks together with reversed signature which appears to read 'Waldorf Astor', lacking metal crest to front cover, 25cm x 17cm

Note: William Waldorf Astor, 1st Viscount Astor (31 March 1848 - 18 October 1919) was an American-English attorney, politician, hotelier, publisher and philanthropist, part of the wealthy Astor family of New York City. He moved to England in 1891 and became a British subject in 1899.
