Impressive French gilt metal and marble mounted blue glaze ceramic urn with cover in Louis XVI style, the cover with cast foliate finial over a body with cast vines, foliage and winged putto, the cast handles modelled as rams heads, mounted upon a shaped white marble socle, early 20th century, 16" high
Overall in good condition, the applied gilt metal mounts rams head and putti figures are slowly working themselves loose and will require some attention to firm and secure tightly, there are some stress craquelure lines across the surface of the gilt fruiting vines etc, the white marble support with age consistent nicks and wear to the corners, where the applied mounts have moved slightly, it has worn the blue enamel to the inside though minimal and will be hidden when these are re-fixed securely.
