Noritake - Glenwood - An extensive late 20th century China tea and dinner service, pattern 5770, comprised of twelve cups, saucers, tea plates, plates, bowls, ten bowls with handles, meat plate, gravy boat, serving dish, coffee pot, cream jug, tureen, and more. Makers marks printed to the underside of the pieces.
In 1904 the forerunner of the Noritake Company was established in the village of Noritake near Negoya in Japan. This Glenwood set was purchased by the Seller's parents in India in the 1950s when they worked for the Foreign Office to use for the purpose of entertaining.
