A believed late 19th Century wooden Prussian Eagle statue / figurine mounted to a circular wooden base. The eagle with spread wings marked to the back ' No. 169 Gustav Steinert Freiburg SCHL ' (Germany). Steinert was a supplier of clock mouldings and carved adornments established in Germany in 1877. These type of eagles were seen on the top of Gustav Becker Vienna Wall Clocks. Measures approx. 18cm.
