Royal Navy Warrant Officer Sword


A rare post 1901 example with 31 1/2 inch, single edged blade with back edge sharpened point.  Wide fuller.  Small, etched foliage decorated panels, crowned royal coat of arms and Kings crown fouled anchor.  The forte with retailer "Stumbles & Son Fore St Devonport".  Gilt brass guard with rear folding section.  Kings crown fouled anchor cartouche.  Gilt brass, plain pommel and backstrap.  Black, shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding.  Contained in its black leather scabbard with gilt mounts.  Complete with blue and gilt sword knot.  Contained in its transit bag.
