Three works related to China Clay English China Clays Limited, St Austell, Cornwall; privately printed, this souvenir of the Duke of Edinburgh’s visit consequently is a scarce work. Printed in 1957. Own original blue card covers with the bookplate of John Blowey. The Story of China Clay, published by English Clays Lovering Pochin & Co Ltd, St Austell, Cornwall. Printed by Warne, St Austell, twelve pages, circa 1960. Loosely inserted, a newspaper cutting ‘july 1983’ titles Clay Workers Sacrifice was for Nothing. This is in relation to the China Clay Strike of 1913, when the Glamorgan police were dispatched to Cornwall to control the strikers who were looking to achieve some semblance of a fair wage.
