Canada(?) to Harrogate, Yorks. with Postage Free / ON SERVICE ds & Transmission Delayed hs; 1942 Rio de Janeiro to New York with two mauve HELD BY BRITISH CENSOR / RELEASED JAN 1946 hs; 1939 env. Brazil to Hamburg but fell foul of Trinidad censor and held until 1946 with scarce "Zuruckgehaltene Post von der Zensur freigegeben etc" small label; 1940 env. Cardiff to Chief Officer via shipping agent at Durban with red DURBAN / RELEASED BY CENSOR hs and on reverse 1944 dated THIS LETTER HAS BEEN REDIRECTED FROM A PORT ABROAD, etc., seemingly held for 4 years; 1941 env. USA to Norway with green RETURNED TO SENDER BY CENSOR label as it contained more than 25 words; 1940 env. Denmark to USA censored and held by Germany until 1945, etc. Excellent variety.
