A COLLECTION OF CHINESE AND BALINESE WOODEN ITEMS comprising a polychrome Balinese processional plaque including fifteen gilded figures, height 19cm x width 97cm, a Chinese wooden carved tobacco jar with a repeating central band of mythological beasts, and carved symbols to the lid, a brass container to the interior, underside of the lid carved with a South West Borderers Regiment insignia 'With love from Hugh,' height 19cm x diameter 14cm, (some chips to the fangs of one the beasts, slight knock to the lid), a two-tiered handled Chinese rattan wedding basket, with six 'prunus' blossom metal mounts to either side, a four character inscription to both sides indicates a possible date of 1901 with a 'Zhang' family surname, height 45cm including handle x width 33cm (some flecks of white paint to the lid, patina present), and a pointed hand painted rattan hat with Wayang Kulit style characters, height 17cm x diameter 36cm (some wear to the tip of the hat, some areas of fading to the paintwork) (4) (Condition Report: itemised conditions above)
