H.M. Queen Mary of Teck, wife of King George V: a 'Marlborough House' headed notecard, handwritten in black in with the message 'For darling Gerald with best wishes for his birthday from his loving Grannie Mary R, August 21. 1939, along with a dicatated telephone message written in pencil from Sandringham to Hon. Gerald Lascelles and the message 'Loving good wishes for your birthday. Grannie', both contained within an envelope in the Queen's hand addressed to The Hon. Gerald Lascelles, printed black crown verso.

Private collection of Angela Lascelles (wife of The Hon. Gerald Lascelles, First Cousin of Queen Elizabeth II) and thence by descent.
