Star Lot: Arthur Burrington (British, 1856-1924) A graceful original Arthur Burrington (British, 1856-1924) watercolour on paper painting titled 'Motherhood'. Features a gentle scene of a mother holding her child with a cradle by side. Rendered in Arthur's soft shades of browns, ochres and blues in loose fluid brushstrokes. Portrays slight foxing to paper characterising age. Signed lower left. Housed in a wooden gilt frame. Titled with artist's sticker to verso.
MM: 51 x 41 cm including frame
Arthur Burrington is a well acknowledged artist with work sold at Bonhams for £552.
