14 Bore Belgian Percussion sporting rifle. 127cm in overall length with octagonal twist barrel 775mm in length with deep 14 groove rifling. Leige proof marked. Unusual covered pendulum rear sight with adjustable peep hole sight behind breech. Foliate engraved detented lock, adjustable capstan screw ser trigger. Foliate engraved steel funiture, trigger guard with finger scroll, large scrolling finial to butt cap. Steel sling swivels, screw on baluster hand grip. White metal escutcheon and fore end band. Carved cheek piece, belly of stock is well carved with a Boar's head. Ramrod missing. Scarce example of an early dedicated target shooting rifle. Section 58 (2) no licence required.
