£100 - £150
Two Art Deco influence bronze patinated spelter figures, 20th century, each modelled as a Roman soldier, one with short sword and shield, 56cm high overall, the other with a spear, 59cm high overall, each on ebonised wooden socle base (2) (at fault)
The figure with short sword and shield shows surface scratching, small scuffs and wear to the patination throughout. The shield is removable and fits into the hand, but does not sit properly on the forearm. The figure moves slightly on the metal base. The wooden socle base shows splits to the left hand side and wear to the ebonised finish. The piece shows small spots of white residue across the surface.
The figure with spear shows surface scratching, small scuffs and wear to the patination throughout. The spear is removable and moves slightly in the figure's hand. The left hand appears to have been shaped to hold an object which is no longer present. The wooden socle base shows a split to the left hand side and wear to the ebonised finish. The piece shows small spots of white residue across the surface.
