£140
A George III silver vinaigrette by Matthew Linwood, Birmingham 1811, of rectangular form, the cover decorated with floral panels and cartouche to centre engraved 'SP', pierced decoration hinged cover and sponge to gilt interior, 23mm x 16mm, weight 7.7gms
Overall condition is good. There are a couple of very small dents to the edges, and to the central cartouche. There is the beginnings of a split to the lid. Moderate amount of scratching to exterior and some slight areas of pitting to the base. Hinges to lid and grille are secure and working correctly, however neither sit completely flush and do leave small gaps around the edges. There is a moderate amount of scratching to the interior, but the gilt is in good order.
