A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY, 1446, 1916, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to the Ministry of Munitions, Houston Factory, near Paisley. Sold in 1919 to the Carntyne Iron & Steel Co Ltd, Glasgow. Company closed in 1920 and loco purchased by Thos. W. Ward of Sheffield. Rebuilt by Wards and sold in 1927 to Turners Asbestos Cement Ltd, Farnworth, Lancashire where it was named EVERITE. Sold for scrap in 1969. Cast brass, 16¾"x11¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
