German Third Reich Red Cross hewer and frog. Good scarce example with unmarked sawback blade. Nickel plated mounts with oval on crossguard bearing eagle and swastika with Geneva cross. Two piece Bakelite grip, the front section of chequered design, the reverse plain. Housed in its black painted scabbard with nickel plated throat and chape ; complete with dark brown leather frog, with aluminium rivets, bearing feint K impressed into the leather. Minor service wear, generally VGC. Introduced in February 1938 and discontinued in 1940.
