A near pair of Chinese blue and white moonflasks, bianhu, Daoguang seal marks and of the period (1821-50), both painted in Ming style with five peaches and two bats to a peach-shaped reserve on each side, the borders with lotus flowers, scrolling leaves and tendrils, the base inscribed in seal script ‘Da Qing Daoguang nian zhi’, 25cm high

The first flask has a few small glaze/splinter chips to the edge and top and the leading edges, typical minor glaze imperfections, otherwise in good condition.
