(minor edge wear + ink-mark at foot) and content to London franked by GB 6d Mauve Pl.9 MC tied by v. fine "466" numeral with fine red "PAID/BR. PACKET/LIVERPOOL" cds (Tab. P17). The long and interesting contents (headed with printed "H.M.S. SEAGULL" motif are very derogatory about the ship's Captain, refer to their "letting two slavers go...very annoying as if any of us had had our own way they would not have got away...", referring to the Captain's pet monkey, and thanking the addressee "for sending...the stamps".
