A Japanese carved and lacquered Shodhana Cabinet, Meji period, the pediment carved with two Phoenix above an arrangement of cupboards, shelves and drawers, the panels overlaid with Shibayama, depicting vases of flowers, children, and birds on a very ornate carved and pierced base, 75" x 43 1/2" (190cms x 110cms).
