Archive of material relating to Paddy D'Arcy, 1916 Rising and War of Independence veteran. Includes photocopied portrait of Thomas MacDonagh with original inscription in ink 'With love to Paddy [D'Arcy] from Bairbre Mac Donagh' [daughter of Thomas]; a typed letter illegibly signed from a Lieut. & Adjutant at Curragh Internment Camp, 1 July 1921, to Mrs. E. D'Arcy of Dalkey, Co. Dublin, reassuring her about the health of her son P. D'Arcy. 'There are seven civilian doctors in this Camp and a well-equipped hospital. I can assure you that every care is taken of the sick'; a sheet with a pencilled poem mentioning various inmates at the Curragh including 'a lad called Paddy Darcy', 'the strike it was a terror ..', etc., possibly in D'Arcy's own hand; various newspapers and cuttings of the period, typescript copies of P.H. Pearse's last letter, Thomas MacDonagh's last Address and last letter; a few pamphlets relating to the period, 1916 Rising Service Medal tunic ribbon attached to letter of issue, etc.
