modelled as a sage in robes pulling at his beard, together with a 19th century ivory netsuke of a man carrying a playful young boy, 5.9cm & 5.7cm respectively
The ivory figure is in good condition throughout, with no signs of any breaks, restorations or repairs.
The ceramic netsuke has unglazed feet and are likely to be replacements.
