Edgar Adolphe - a mid to late 19th century Victorian watercolour on paper silhouette painting. The painting depicting a figure in side profile, hand painted details & signed Adolphe to bottom. To verso, the original paper label for The Origin of Profiles sketched by Mons. Adolphe, Portrait, Animal, Miniature and Profile Painter, address 113 St. James St. Brighton. Hand written Joseph Kaye Jnr., possibly the figure depicted. Framed & glazed.
