An unheated colour-change Ceylon sapphire solitaire ring, featuring an octagonal step-cut sapphire of medium purplish-blue body colour that exhibits a change of colour to pale pinkish-purple when viewed under certain light sources, measuring approximately 14.5 x 10.7 x 8.7mm with an estimated weight of 14.5ct, claw-set in an asymmetrical 18ct yellow gold mount, with diamond-set shoulders, size L1/2; 12.1 grams Together with a copy of a laboratory certificate from the Gemmological Certification Services confirming the sapphire to be Sri Lankan in origin, with no indications of heating. (Ref. 5783-193) Heavily abraded need repolishing. Sapphire contains network of rutile silk, feathers and crystal inclusion. Colour change: purplish-blue to pinkish
