Late 18c Eight day longcase clock, the 30Ccms arched painted dial signed G Clapham, Brigg and having floral corners and the name in the arch. It has Roman numerals and Arabic outer 5 minute figures and unmatched steel hands. the movement has rack striking and escapement and is contained in an oak case with flat topped hood and plain columns flanking the dial. The hood has a low caddy and timber frets each side of the arch. the long trunk door has a triple pointed top and the base is plain with a wavy plinth and bracket feet. 211cms h.

The movement has a broken bell stand but is otherwise intact. The dial needs cleaning and refiguring. The top of the hood door is loose and the lock on the trunk door is missing. The case would benefit from polishing but is otherwise sound.
