A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE MACHINE GUN CORPS. A Great war pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 136553 W.J. Attewell MGC. William Jesse Attewell from Newport in Monmouth served with 'B' Company of the 38th Battalion of the Machine Gun Corps, the son of Mrs E.R. Attewell of 59 Morden Rd Newport. He was killed in action on the 20th of October 1918 Cross Roads Cemetery, Fontaine-Au-Bois, south east of Cambrai, he was 19 years old. Sold with copied MiC and copied research. *CR slightly polished and lacking ribbon for War Medal. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
