1857 (June 25) Registered cover from Calcutta to Rangoon franked 1854 1a die II and 2a (both four margins) paying the 3a postage rate, the 4a registration fee paid in cash, both stamps cancelled by octagonal "B/1" with red "REGD LETTER No. (23890)" alongside, endorsed "per Str Cape of Good Hope", boxed "RANGOON / SHIP LETTER / BG ANNA" applied to collect the 1a ship letter fee, minor creasing. A fine and scarce registered ship letter to Rangoon. Photo on Page 154.
