A late 18th century continental hunting sword, straight fullered blade 18½”, DE at tip, with maker’s initials “K&S” on one side at forte and “Solingen” on the other, and etched with leaping deer, spear and foliate devices for half length, brass crossguard with trophy of horn and weapons in panel on one side, acorn finials, fluted darkwood grip, swollen to matching fluted brass pommel and stud. GC (some wear and edge nicks towards point). Plate 3 £120-140
