A handsome 19th century silk patch worked quilt, worked in repeating octagon shapes, in a large selection of 19th century printed and woven brocaded silks on a black and brown velvet background, edged with a 19th century wide red and gold woven silk border, the quilt lined with a thick cotton, 228cm x 212cm

Some silk octagons are torn or perished from age, but with conservation can be replaced, the lining has become discoloured with age but could be replaced.
