Approximately 350 postcards and 12 photos of different sizes of trains and locomotives, some showing parts of generally unlocated rail stations and modes of transport from a bygone age. Some 140 are modern size (including 56 by Dennis Productions and 15 by J Arthur Dixon (which have been trimmed across the bottom), 39 are standard-size moderns (including 24 published by Salmon). Of the standard-size cards, 25 are published by Photochrom, 11 Colourmaster International, 10 Collectors Reproductions, 11 McCorquodale & Co, 47 by Salmon but there are more than 100 older black and white images, including some by F Moore’s Railway Photographs and others by The Locomotive Publishing Co. Many of the cards/photos are in good condition but some have faults, apart from the previously mentioned trimming. One modern has a corner missing. Others have creases etc.
