Irish Queen Own Royal Dublin City Militia Victorian Officer waist belt clasp circa 1856-81.
Fine rare nickel silver interlocking example. Circlet inscribed QUEEN OWN ROYAL REGIMENT; seeded centre mounted with three castles, with flaming towers, from City Arms. Universal pattern rococo ends. Flames AF one turret GC Raised 1793, redesigned Royal Dublin City Militia in 1815 later adding the title Queen Own, became 4th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers 1.7.1881.
