TWO WALKING STICKS (1) AN UNUSUAL MOTHER OF PEARL & BONE INLAID WALKING STICK / STAFF IN THE FORM OF A SNAKE, the head of the snake forming the hand of the staff, with bright red eyes, its body decorated with inlaid pieces of mother of pearl, bone & wood. The rest painted black; some of the paints has worn away and some of the inlay is missing. 90cm tall. (2) AN 19TH CENTURY INDIAN CARVED BONE & EBONY WALKING STICK, The handle in the form of an elephant head, with tusks in place, the shaft of the stick decorated with inlaid circles and carved barley twist detailing. 91.5cm long. Some of the inlaid circles missing.
