King on horseback left, holding upright sword, flowing sash terminating in two ends, inner beaded circles both sides, legend reads CAROLVS DG MAG BRIT FRA ET HI REX. Rev, oval garnished shield, legend reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, 29.72gm (S. 3045; N. 2531). Very Fine, a couple of minor areas of softness. Ex. Baldwin’s, shop ticket, post 1946, in AHB’s own hand, priced at £8/10/-. Ex. H Paget Col. (Glendining 25 September 1946).
