WWI Cuffley Zeppelin items, comprising a fragment of alloy and a small piece of thin fabric in contemporary envelope inscribed “Fragment of the German Zepp. brought down at Cuffley by Lieut W. Leefe-Robinson VC on Sunday night Sept 3rd/16 in the 3rd year of The Great War..” (remainder in German - unclear); another piece of fabric cut into the shape of an Iron Cross and inscribed “Fabric cut from Zeppelin L33 downed 24th Sept 1916, Little Wigborough Essex sold to raise funds for the Red Cross Society”; with old photostat of the Daily Despatch report of Lieut Leefe Robinson’s exploit.
