"Windsor Castle Armoury" being the European Section by G F Laking MVO, FSA Keeper of the King's Armoury, published by command of His Majesty King Edward VII, 284 pages, 39 plates, bearing ink presentation inscription "To Sir Schomberg McDonnell from Edward R Xmas 1904". Half leather bound, the cloth cover embossed with Edward VIIs monogram. Basically GC (the covers, leather spine and cloth board some wear, collectors bookplate to inside cover) Sir Schomberg Kerr McDonnell was Private Secretary to the Prime Minister Lord Salisbury, during WWI he served as Major in the Cameron Highlanders 5th Bn and died of wounds 23.11.1915 and is commemorated at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery Belgium. £80-100
