WW1 BWM, Victory Medal, Memorial Plaque and Memorial Scroll to 25966 Pte H. Harper Oxf & Bucks L.I. (Horatio Harper on plaque, Pte Horatio Harper Oxf and Bucks L.I. on scroll) extremely fine to mint, scroll is framed, plaque with card case of issue, inner envelope and Buckingham Palace transmission letter. He was killed in action with 5th Bn on 3rd May 1917 during the Bn attack on Wancourt Ridge and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
With good range of original documentation including lid of box for medals, condolence transmittal letter and envelope of transmission to Mrs E. Harper, Oxford, postcard photo in uniform, Red Cross letter stating nothing heard of her husband 9/4/18, APO Warwick reporting him missing 4/6/17, Buckingham Palace letter of sorrow, marriage certificate, daughter's passports etc. Also copied MIC, CWGC and Soldiers Died, only issued a pair.
