An 18th Century Harpsichord by Jacobus and Abraham Kirckman, London 1787, a single manual in mahogany with tulipwood crossbanding, ebonised and satinwood stringing, the keyboard surround in satinwood with stringing, and the nameboard bearing the inscription "Jacobus et Abraham Kirckman, London 1787", the registration 2 x 8ft and 1 x 4ft, raised on a trestle stand of four squared supports and stretchers on casters. Provenance: Loaned by the Bulmer family to Berrington Hall National Trust property in North Herefordshire since at least 1998, until recent removal for auction. (Notebook of handwritten service notes included).
