BELLARMINE JUG. 8.2ins tall. Delightful all brown salt glaze classic baluster body, rear handle, sgraffito lines to lip, rear hand applied handle. Characterful angry looking bearded face to neck, oval cartouche to belly, slightly flared foot (minor old nibbles) with interesting base glaze colours and texture. Age wear but damages as such. A fine undamaged example of its type.
AMENDED 27/06/23: Arranged pictures in correct sequence, plus added the group pic last of all three Bellarmines - for scale.
