A highly sought after GALLO, Gallotone Champion Guitar, GUARANTEEED NOT TO SPLIT label in the body of the guitar, made in South Africa in the 1950s manufactured to withstand all climatic conditions. Sunburst finish with painted banding detail, some damage but no noticeable splits. JOHN LENNON’S first guitar was this exact model Gallotone Champion and purchased his example in 1957, he used it in with his band THE QUARRY MEN, around the same time a certain PAUL MCCARTNEY spotted him at St Peters Church Fete Woolton in 1957. Within years the two of them were members of the legendary BEATLES
