20th century example of a 2 inch pocket globe, 12 engraved and coloured gores, marked 'Globe Terrestre dressé par `L.Spies d'appres l'invention de A. Weinling & Cie 1850. A Strasbourg chez Marin & Schmidt', diameter 5.2cm. Also, a 19th Century wood and brass octant, as found, retains part of its outer case. No maker's mark. (2)
