A collection of 19th century snuff / trinket boxesto include a circular tunbridge ware box with pull-off cover, opening to reveal dark red velvet interior, 2 7/8in. (7.4cm.) diameter; salvaged turned oak snuff box, the roundel inscribed 'Oak and bell metal of York Minister, burnt May 20: 1840, 3 ¼in. (8.3cm.) diameter, with a shaped wooden souvenir, the roundel with same inscription; papier-mâché kidney shaped snuff box, the hinged cover painted with little girl and dog, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) long; made up tortoiseshell box of rectangular form, opening to reveal tin lined interior, 3 ½in. (9cm.) long (a/f), together with two other boxes. (7). *Tortoiseshell box made from various veneers, broken hinge, splits; other boxes very good with light wear only.
