A Chinese turquoise glazed vase of cong shape, 20th century, moulded on each of the four sides with pairs of scholarly figures, on an interlocking keywork ground, within Greek key borders, the neck with lappet and ruyi head bands, the shoulder with Shou symbol spandrels, on a circular foot, fitted as a lamp with hardwood base, the vase presumably drilled to the base, the vase 12in. (30.5cm.) high, overall 26½in. (67.3cm.) high. Has not been dismantled, but the base has presumably been drilled for the cord exit. No visible damage to the vase. Sold as a decorative item only - will require rewiring if intended for use as a lamp.
