In recognition of her outstanding services to the RNLI, Mrs R. Pugh has been awarded the gold badge of the Institution. Mrs Pugh who is a director of the North Wales Press Co Ltd, has been hon secretary of the Rhyl Ladies' Lifeboat Guild for many years, and it is in recognition of her work in this capacity that the gold badge has been awarded to her. It is the highest decoration the RNLI can make to voluntary workers who have given exemplary service over a long period of years, and Mrs Pugh will also have the honour of being presented with it by H.R.H. the Duchess of Kent at the annual meeting of the RNLI in London on March 20th."
