Star Lot : An atmospheric mid 19th century fabulous original oil on panel painting featuring a Dutch village landscape scene. Rendered in the style of the traditional Dutch landscape artists from the 17th century. Fabulously achieved fine detail in the characters. Small figures surround the landscape engaging in farming activities, their clothes picked up in delicate highlights. An enigmatic piece housed in an antique wooden frame. From a princely large estate in south Wicklow. MM: 63 x 50 cm in frame. No visible signature but if it can be attributed could be a very valuable piece.
