A scarce original WWII Second World War period NFS National Fire Service steel Brodie helmet from Kleeneze (based in Hanham, Bristol). Brodie helmet of typical form, with NFS badge printed to front and a small Kleeneze logo to the underside. Helmet also painted ' WD ' - either for War Department or Western District. No liner, but partial chin strap remains. AF (some rusting). Scarce local interest helmet, originally made for a site no more than 500 yards from our saleroom.
