A mid 18th century heavy Dragoon Troopers hilted broadsword, the 94cm blade etched with the legend VIVA D MARIA TARASIA PORTUGAL, regulation three quarter basket hilt with three integral open work scroll bars to either side, domed pommel, plain wooden grip.
Provenance - Antony Cribb Ltd - Lot 252 4/8/20.
Retaining some gilt , but heavily pitted to blade and hilt. Edge of blade with some loss towards tip
