William Woollett (1735-1785), after George Stubbs ARA (1724-1806), Shooting, a set of four, engravings, published by Thomas Bradford, 1769-1771, 17¼ x 21½in. (43.8 x 54.5cm.), in Hogarth frames. (4) Paper toned to all four engravings - plus several spots of darker staining to margins on all four. None examined out of frame - possibly laid down. - Plate I: Large circular stain to lower right and large dark stain upper right. Spotting and surface dirt across the sheet. Old restoration to tear lower left corner. Two small tears visible to top centre margin. - Plate II: Dark stained hole at lower left corner and abrasion/damage to surface of paper to left and above this hole. Several small old splits to paper and creases, plus general light surface abrasions across the sheet in sky. Some spotting throughout. - Plate III: Large restored tear to top centre and another tear lower left margin. Dark stain patch lower right corner and crease above this just above treeline. Two small abrasions to paper surface at top left corner. - Plate IV: Small slightly darker stain mark at lower left. Otherwise good.
