Star lot : A very attractive original oil on board painting titled "Rapazza Col Ventaglio" (Girl with a Fan)by the artist Domenico Ronca b1964 featuring an impressionistic composition of two ladies in a floral garden setting, one gazing directly at the viewer with her hand fan outstretched. Beautifully observed and rendered in a soft palette of bright yellows and vibrant magentas.

Domenico Ronca was born in Molfetta in 1964 and following in his father's footsteps, showed his passion for art as a child. He first exhibited alongside his father, presenting his work to appraisers, critics and art dealers throughout Italy. Throughout his 30 year career, Ronca developed his own pictorial style and expressive line that is manifested in the canvases of recent years. He uses a choice of glazes and colour combinations in the creation of distinctive forms where he represents female subjects and landscapes with horses.
